Forgiveness Friday

Will you forgive me?

Words we don’t often utter, but should be asked more frequently.

Will You forgive me for complaining when others are suffering far greater than myself?

Will You forgive me for focussing on myself and my needs instead of the needs of my family and those around me?

Will You forgive me for being impatient with processes in this world? For not waiting for Your timing?

Will You forgive me for giving up too soon? For not trusting You?

Will You forgive my humanness today? Fogive my attitudes and misunderstandings of You today?

Will You forgive me?

Thankfulness Thursday

July 13, 2006 · 1 Comment

I am thankful for the wonderful family I have. A husband who desperately loves me. Children who adore me. A sister/friend that lives vicariously through me, and I through her. Parents who live next door and watch my children so Ronnie and I can date!

I am thankful for medical intervention and midwives who are cautious. I am thankful for them, even though they live in a flawed system and practice against the patients desires. I am thankful that they have delivered healthy children to me, and each child has been in my arms sooner than the previous.

I am thankful for this body I live in. Though it is flawed, it serves it’s purpose well. It helps me care for my family, and it gets me where I need to go.

I am thankful that my bankruptcy will be over soon, and we will be free from the debt which ensnared us. Free to discipline ourselves with the income we have. Free to save for a new house. Free to put money aside for the children’s college, or whatever. Free to give.
