A movement to abolish the 22nd amendment. The 22nd amendment is the one that limits the President to just 2 four year terms in office or 10 years.
The reasoning for this movement is that before 1951, when the amendment was added, the people voted freely every four years.
But, there must have been a reason that this amendment was added. I mean, look at #4. We wouldn’t repeal that one, would we.
Or, how about #13. Oh, you ought to know this one. This is the one that ended slavery. Though, some may question if slavery really was abolished, what with exorbitant interest on credit cards these days.
Or, take #16! That’s a good one to repeal. The income tax. I’m all for that one.
So, if they try and abolish #22, we ought to insist they abolish #16 as well, and maybe #17 while they are at it.
Heck, why don’t we just do away with the whole d@mn thing! It’s time for a Constitutional Convention!
